Andrew L’Amoureux has recently joined The Rensselaerville Institute team as the IT Director, and has already begun designing, building and managing our computer network.
His experience comes from a history of tinkering with computers since he was a child, and his vast work experience. Prior to joining the Institute, Andrew was the Network Engineer for P & J Computers, in Albany, NY, where he provided network support to many clients; Systems Engineer for Computer Professionals International, in Albany; Network Engineer for Imagecom, in Arlington Heights, Illinois; Network Manager for the New York State Department of Transportation, Region 8 Construction Group, Poughkeepsie, NY where he started as a Civil Engineer I.
Andrew received his Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering, with a Minor in Economics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York.
His many certifications include: Certified NetWare Administrator 3; Certified NetWare Administrator 4; Certified NetWare Engineer 3; Microsoft Certified Professional; Microsoft Certified Professional+Internet; Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer; Compaq Accredited Service Engineer (ProLiant servers); Certified NetWare Engineer 5; Citrix Certified Administrator; Cisco Certified Network Associate; Microsoft Windows 2000 Core tests; hp Accredited Service Engineer (ProCurve switches); Cisco Wireless Specialization; Certified NetWare Engineer 6; Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator; Radware Certified Connectivity Specialist; and Cisco Foundation Essentials for Field Engineers.
