Libby Villavicencio
Director of Foundation Programs

Libby Villavicencio is nationally respected for her consulting with foundations and non-profit organizations to help them achieve stronger results for the monies available to invest in and implement programs. As Director of Foundation Programs, Libby leads the Institute's team helping private, community, and corporate foundations define, achieve, verify, and report the impacts they make through their grant-making, initiatives, and other programs.

Libby's clients include WellPoint Foundation, Foundation for the Carolinas, Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services and their 16 state agencies, and the Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. She recently led a project to assess impacts and define an outcome framework for the national Frederick P. Rose Architectural Fellowship program.

Libby fully understands the non-profit sector through leadership roles in Advancement for Life Care Alliance, National Church Residences (Director of Supportive Services) and Volunteers of America (Family Shelter Manager). Her work was awarded a HUD Best Practices Award and she was selected to lead non-profits in Columbus, Ohio with the United Way of Central Ohio.

She is also experienced in public private partnerships through leadership roles in the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing and senior consulting with program initiatives in Seattle, Massachusetts, California, and Ohio.

While Libby has assumed major leadership roles she is also anchored in the realities of direct service. Libby began her career as a child assault prevention facilitator and then as an educator, where she became 6th Grade Lead Teacher for the district of Zanesville (Ohio) City Schools.

Libby is in demand as an energetic and articulate presenter and consultant on outcome approaches for both foundations and the non-profits in whom they invest.
