Dear Rensselaerville Institute (TRI) Family,
Today is a thrilling and humbling day for me.
I am thrilled to be joining an organization with the history and impact of The Rensselaerville Institute;
Humbled to follow in the footsteps of great leaders (Hal, Jon and Gillian); and
Honored to join a team that has transformed the lives of children, adults, families, and communities around the country.
It is an incredible honor for me to lead and serve this great organization. Hal, Jon, Gillian, the Board of Trustees and you all have taken it from an idea to one of the greatest and most inspiring not-for-profits in the country.
We have experienced great success, and we are hungry to do more. Our field is an evolving and fast moving one, that does not yield to those who sit on their laurels. It only respects innovation, forward movement, impact, and, yes, RESULTS. This is a critical time for the field and for us at TRI. Make no mistake, we have been great, we are great, and we are headed for even more greatness — as School Turnaround, Community Work, technology, data and measurement tools all change, we must and will continue to improve, as well. We will be competitive industry leaders who will grow, evolve, and remain ahead of it all.
Our job is simple: ensure the mission and vision of The Rensselaerville Institute thrives in today’s world and beyond.
I value the legacy and am excited for the future of TRI. I am looking forward to diving into my role, as President. I am thankful and grateful for all of the incredible support and enthusiasm about my arrival at the Institute from the Board, Senior Leadership Team and, you all, the TRI Staff—it has all been inspiring, to have been welcomed to this amazing organization with open arms. I am confident our best years lie ahead of us and together we will continue to make The Rensselaerville Institute the amazing place that it has always been.
