Welcome Chief Operating Officer Tamara Chalvire

The Rensselaerville Institute (TRI) is proud to announce the appointment of Tamara Chalvire as our new Chief Operating Officer (COO).


Ms. Chalvire brings to The Rensselaerville Institute a wealth of experience in youth and community development, managerial leadership, fundraising, volunteerism, and youth-service organizations.  “Tamara is an entrepreneurial servant and leader with a proven record of achieving results that are relevant to the communities she serves,” says Rodney M. Fuller, President, The Rensselaerville Institute. He continues, “She is passionate about developing community assets and intentional about earning the trust of stakeholders and supporters. Tamara’s unique ability to lead, build teams and manage complex organizational issues will be a boon to clients, staff, and communities, alike. We are fortunate to have her and excited to welcome her to The Rensselaerville Institute team.” 

I am very excited and humbled by the overwhelming enthusiasm I have received, regarding my appointment as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of The Rensselaerville Institute, said Ms. Chalvire “Equally, I am extremely grateful for this wonderful opportunity to play a role in moving The Rensselaerville Institute and its mission forward—I am expectant that our collective efforts will yield great and excellent things.”As a NY State resident, Tamara earned a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from St. Johns University and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from John Jay College with a focus in Non-Profit Leadership and Management.As COO, Tamara will report directly to our President, Rodney Fuller and will lead our team into the future. She will be responsible for our long term growth plans and to ensure we continue to serve our communities in the best way possible.Tamara comes to us with over 14yrs in Youth Development, Education, and Child Welfare experience. She was recognized as an Emerging Leader from The Police Athletic League, A Drug Free Hero from The Foundation for a Drug Free World and most recently was recognized for her Excellence in Practice by the Administration for Children Services (ACS).About us: For almost 50 years, The Rensselaerville institute has been tackling—and solving—problems that most other organizations talk about.
